Where to Drop Your Donations

YWCA Kokokahi

Drop-offs can be made between 10a.m.-4p.m. every 2nd Tuesday of the month and 10a.m.-3p.m. during sale days.

 

YWCA Laniakea

Drop-offs can be made between 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

What We Accept

  • Please bring your donations in bags no larger than a kitchen-sized trash bag and no heavier than 15 pounds.

  • We do not accept donations in bins or boxes.

  • Contribution receipts are available upon drop-off

We do not accept the following items: Damaged or stained items, Items with odor or pet hair, hangars, children’s & men’s clothing, household items, swimwear, lingerie.

    • Blouses

    • Black slacks

    • Blazers

    • Plus-sized clothing (size 18+)

    • Blouses

    • Dark jeans (no rips, no fading)

    • Cardigans

    • Aloha attire

    • Medical scrubs

    • Non-slip shoes

    • Solid Black tops

    • Brand new, unexpired, wrapped & sealed cosmetics

    • Wrapped & sealed toiletries

    • Underwear - Brand new with tags

    • Bras - Brand new or gently used

    • Camisoles or shapewear

    • Plus-sized items (size 18+)

    • Brand new socks

    • Black or neutral colored bags (tote, handbag, backpack, purse, crossbody)

    • Wallets

    • Cosmetic bags

    • Jewelry

    • Black closed-toe shoes (low heels or flats)

 

Where does my donation go?

Donations made to YWCA Oʻahu are used first to serve women in our career and employment programs. When we receive more items than needed for client services, some donations may be transferred to YWCA Oʻahu. Transferred items may be sold through the YWCA Oʻahu Benefit Sale, a YWCA-operated fundraiser and workforce development pop-up store. Funds raised through YWCA Oʻahu fundraising activities support YWCA Oʻahu’s mission and community programs, including Dress for Success Honolulu.
